The invention relates to a device for recovery of nickel from acidic in nickel plating wastewater including: rinsing tank, used for electroplating rinse and containing nickel plating wastewater; water pump, and rinse tank connected by pipeline, to extract from the potcher wastewater; ion exchanger, connecting the water inlet pipe through the exchange of ions in the input. Waste water, and through the outlet pipe output back to the water to the washing tank; wherein the apparatus includes a pH sensor, the inlet pipe is arranged in the ion exchanger, detection of pH value of wastewater; controller is connected with the pH sensor, the pH value of wastewater with a critical pH value, and outputs a control signal according to the comparison result; and replenishment according to the mechanism, the controller control signal of the washing tank water. The device improves the ion exchange efficiency of the metal nickel ion in the waste water by maintaining the wastewater at a suitable pH value, while ensuring the quality of the cleaning water.
