砂模铸造是应用广泛的铸造形式。正如名称所示,就是用砂子制造铸模。砂模铸造需要在砂子中放入成品零件模型或木制模型(模样),然后在模样周围填满砂子,开箱取出模样以后砂子形成铸模。但是目前来说直接用砂模程序的话,铸件的表面光滑度不够,对于某些表面光滑度要求高的铸件如主轴来说是表面光滑度会要求很高,便于后期加工成形,这就需要在砂模内表面喷淋一层泥浆,在机械铸造行业中,为提高铸件的质量,在一些铸件翻砂模型的表面要涂覆一层专用涂料,现有技术中,翻砂模型表面的涂料由工人用油漆刷涂覆,涂覆时,用油漆刷从料桶中沾上涂料后,手工刷到砂模的表面,这种工作方式不仅涂料浪费严重,粉刷不均匀,而且劳动强度大,工作效率低。同时泥浆涂覆以后直接等待下一次使用,这样会降低了泥浆的利用率,这就加大了泥浆使用量,同时增加了涂覆以后泥浆存储问题,泥浆由于粘度问题会在形成气泡影响存储。
