Highly concentrated pharmaceutical granules, formulations, suspensions and uses thereof

Describes the high concentration drug granules, which accounts for about 25wt%80wt% drug granules. The particulate preparations of the present invention comprise, for example, macromolecules such as proteins and / or small molecules (e.g., steroid hormones). The granule formulation typically includes one or more other ingredients, such as one or more stabilizers (e.g. carbohydrates, antioxidants, amino acids, and buffers). The high enriched pellet formulation can be combined with a suspension carrier into a suspension formulation. The suspension preparation includes: (I) single-phase non aqueous, the carrier, the carrier comprising one or more polymers and one or more solvents, wherein the carrier showed the characteristics of viscous fluid, and (II) high concentration drug granules. An apparatus for delivering the suspension formulation and a method of use are also described. The present invention provides improvements in pharmaceutical preparations and delivery for improving patient compliance and expanding drug utilization.
