在高炉生产中会存在着各种故障、事故或设备维护、更新等原因,冶炼高炉需要长时间停产检修(高炉中修)或高炉工艺事故长期休风,就会造成炉内渣铁温度过低,影响渣铁流动性差,甚至出现炉缸冻结的严重事故等。为了防止高炉停产、休风期间出现炉温过低的另类问题,通常采用烧氧枪埋入铁口保持吹氧,以便在炉缸内维持一定程度的连续燃烧和供热加温。此外,烧氧枪埋入铁口持续吹氧还能加速炉缸渣铁形成,提高炉缸温度,从而缩短高炉开炉和炉况恢复时间。烧氧枪管需要深埋入铁口内喷吹氧气维持燃烧,枪口和枪管都会不断的烧蚀毁损,在现有的高炉煤氧枪技术使用过的过程中存在着诸多缺点,缺点有通有煤粉混合气源,而煤粉混合气源搭建复杂,同时存在着堵通气管层和出气孔,严重时是刚插入氧枪气层就堵,被迫重新更换煤氧枪重新插入,这样反复的操作对铁口区域耐材伤害比较大,同时发现通入煤粉混合气对炉缸加热起不了作用,反而混合煤粉进入炉缸内没有完全燃烧,引起渣流动性差,恶化炉缸。还存在的缺点是现有的煤氧枪安装热电偶只是监测炉内最深处的温度,没有任何实际作用,同时安装位置在前、中端,在插入氧枪时热电偶会出现被破坏,没有被破坏的热电偶,当通气后前端的热电偶头很快就被烧损坏,在高炉的使用中没有真正做到判断出炉内温度,也影响成本。现有的氧枪技术没有判断枪管烧蚀毁损的位置功能,只能凭感觉去操作,这样有可能烧损铁口区域的冷却壁,氧枪插入和抽出操作频繁也会损坏铁口区域冷却壁,破坏高炉的寿命,同时对炉缸加热时间不充分,提高炉缸温度效果不理想。
