New uses, the present invention relates to extracts of Folium Isatidis and specifically, isatis leaf and its extract in preparation and application of prevention or treatment of disease virus / drug in silkworm. The invention also provides containing the folium and extract as the active component for the prevention or treatment of silkworm virus / and pharmaceutical compositions. The present invention is effective in preventing drug and treatment of silkworm virus, has obvious effect, which is better than to prevent nuclear polyhedrosis virus of the silkworm cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus; drug effect is better than the treatment of preventive medication.
