The present invention provides an aluminium alloy ingot smelting furnace which reduces the burning loss of aluminium chips, including a furnace body, an aluminium extraction well and a charging well; the aluminium extraction well and a charging well are located on one side of the furnace body and are close together; the bottom of the aluminium extraction well and the bottom of the charging well are connected through a first channel; the bottom of the aluminium extraction well and the bottom of the charging well are respectively connected through a second channel and a third channel. Connected with the furnace body, the inner part of the aluminium extraction well is extended into a rotating mechanism, which comprises a motor and a high temperature resistant rotor driven by the motor. The rotating rotor generates negative pressure in the aluminium extraction well, pumps the high temperature aluminium water in the furnace body through the second channel, the aluminium extraction well and the first channel in turn into the charging well, and adds aluminium chips to the charging well, and the high temperature aluminium water will add aluminium chips to the charging well. The aluminium chip melts into aluminium water, and finally the aluminium water in the feeding well flows into the furnace through the third channel. During the process of aluminium chip melting, it does not contact the flame directly, so as to reduce the burning loss of aluminium chip. The invention also provides an aluminium chip feeding method.
