现有的压机主要由机架、设置在机架顶部的液压装置、位于机架底部的带有顶出装置的底座、由液压装置带动的位于底座上面的压头构成，在底座与液压装置间的机架上设置有导柱，压头沿导柱上下运行。使用时，将上模固定在压头上，下模固定在底座上，通过配料装置将工件送入到下模的模腔内，然后启动液压装置，带动上模下压，将模腔内的工件压制成坯体，之后液压装置带动上模上移，同时，底座上的顶出装置工作，将瓷砖坯体顶出模腔外，通过送出装置将坯体送走。此种压机，其压力的大小直接由液压装置决定，压力需要有多大，就需要液压装置具有相应大的液压压力。而随着液压压力的增大，液压装置的结构就越复杂、制造成本就成几倍的增大。结合上述的压机，现有的压机折结构复杂、操作不够方便，进而导致工件在冲压过程中出现工件冲压效果差，质量达不到要求。
