The invention discloses a spectrum detection device, which includes a local oscillator laser, a phase modulator, a first polarizer, a second polarizer, a first optical coupler, a second optical coupler, a receiver, a power detector and a controller. The first polarizer and the second polarizer separate the detected light and the local oscillator modulated light respectively, and then separate the detected light and the local oscillator modulated light. The light is input to the first optical coupler and the second optical coupler to get the input light output to the receiver coherently. The receiver converts the input optical signal into electrical signal and outputs the electrical signal to the power detector. The power detector detects the received electrical signal, and the controller calculates the power of the light to be detected according to the detection results of the power detector. The spectrum detection device according to the embodiment of the present invention only splits the coherent light once, and the light power is less dispersed, thus the sensitivity of the device is low.
