The invention belongs to the technical field of mineral materials, and discloses a preparation method of octahedral-like polycrystals directionally attached to and grown on pyrite nanosheets. The octahedral polycrystalline materials were prepared by hydrothermal method. A certain amount of Na2S solid and elemental sulfur powder were mixed with water and heated to boil, then added into FeSO4 aqueous solution dropwise, stirred for a certain time and HF was added, and then reacted in a hydrothermal reactor for a certain time. After cooling, the solid was washed and dried, and pyrite was obtained. The nanosheets are oriented to the eight type of polyhedral crystals. The preparation method of the present invention is simple in process and convenient in operation. The octahedral-like polymorphic crystals obtained by the method provide a new idea for the preparation of pyrite materials with special morphology, and have the advantages of easy repetition, good absorption effect for visible light, and photoelectrochemistry.
