目前,余热回收竖炉是一种常见的气固接触传热设备,因具有换热效率高、运行环保等优点被广泛使用,如干熄炉、烧结竖炉等。在余热竖炉内,高温(500~1100℃)固体颗粒与循环冷却气体逆向流动完成对流换热过程。换热后的高温气体经排气口进入后续工段进行余热回收,冷却后的低温(50~200℃)固体颗粒由竖炉底部排出。余热回收竖炉运行能耗高低主要取决于循环冷却气穿过固体颗粒料层时的阻力大小。循环冷却气穿过固体颗粒料层时,料层狭小的流通空间对气体产生较大的流动阻力。经实验及理论分析表明,单位截面积通过相同的气体流量,相同颗粒平均粒径,料层的孔隙率越小,气体流动阻力越大;单位截面积通过相同的气体流量,相同料层孔隙率,固体颗粒平均粒径越小,气体流动阻力越大。因此,利用余热回收竖炉原理回收孔隙率和平均粒径较小的高温颗粒物料热量时,会产生较高的气体流通阻力,运行能耗过高,甚至供风系统无法提供额定的循环风量,导致余热回收竖炉无法正常运行。
