The present invention relates to an equalizer for a same frequency radio receiver in a AM band. The present invention provides a method for equalizing an OFDM symbol vector received on a same frequency radio signal in a AM band including a primary carrier and a first and two BPSK modulation subcarriers. The method comprises the following steps: calculating the amplitude of BPSK signal; filtering the BPSK signal amplitude; of complex sampling filtering received on the main carrier; the amplitude of BPSK signal using the filtered and filtering the received on the main carrier of complex samples to calculate multiple flat fading equalization coefficients; and the OFDM symbol vector multiplied by the flat fading equilibrium coefficient. In addition, a receiver including an equalizer is provided that operates according to the provided method.
