PTC启动器即正温度系数热敏电阻起动继电器,PTC热敏电阻是以钛酸钡为基,掺杂其它的多晶陶瓷材料制造的一种半导体晶体元件。PTC启动器与电动机副绕组串联接入电路,在电路接通的一瞬间,PTC元件产生的热量很少,处于小阻值导通状态。经过1S后,电流热效应使PTC芯片温度迅速升高,其电阻达到高阻值状态。使其压缩机副绕组看似处于开路状态,流经PTC芯片的电流恰好维持高阻温度,压缩机电动机完成启动。现有的PTC启动器内部空间比较小,在PTC芯片失效后不能被分离开。而PTC芯片失效后不具备正温度系数热敏电阻特性,无法减小流经的电流,使得电路处于短路状态,会导致其存在极大的起火隐患,设备的安全性差。
