An automatic thread detection device and its self-balancing mechanism comprise a frame (100), a three-axis transmission system (200), a detection mechanism (300), a self-balancing mechanism (400) and a numerical control host (240); a detection mechanism (300) for clamping a pass gauge (40); and a self-balancing mechanism (400) for connecting the detection mechanism (300) with a Z-axis transmission mechanism (230) of a three-axis transmission system (200). Then, it is used to absorb the rigid force exerted by the stop gauge (40) in the detection operation, thereby avoiding damage to the workpiece (30) and the stop gauge (40); the NC main machine (240) is installed on the frame (100) and electrically connected with the three-axis transmission system (200) and the detection mechanism (300), which is used to control the movement of the three-axis transmission system (200), and to align the stop gauge (40) on the detection mechanism (300) with the time control of the threaded hole to be measured. The inspection mechanism (300) drives the pass gauge (40) to inspect the threaded hole. The detection device improves the detection efficiency and reduces the labor cost, which can effectively ensure that no missed detection.
