Dynamic queuing and binding to improve the quality of service over the uplink in a virtual environment

Techniques for improving the quality of service over the uplink in a virtual environment are provided. An uplink group comprising a plurality of physical links is formed at a server device having a plurality of physical links configured to transmit traffic through a network or from a server device. First class service is defined, the first class service occupied first to share the available bandwidth on the uplink group, and the second types of services are defined, the second kinds of services occupy the available bandwidth on the uplink group second share. The bandwidth for the first class service is assigned to a plurality of physical links on the uplink group, and the bandwidth for the second services is assigned to a plurality of physical links on the uplink group. The flow rate on each physical link in the plurality of physical links is monitored to determine whether the physical link is congested, indicating that there is insufficient bandwidth for a class of service. As a response to the determination of a physical link in the plurality of physical links, bandwidth is reallocated for a class of services to reduce the bandwidth shortage for the services of the corresponding class.
