Formation sensing and evaluation drilling

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for testing and sampling underground formations or storage. The device may include at least one extensible element configured to penetrate the formation. The at least one extensible member may include at least one drill bit with a mouth configured to receive the formation fluid. The at least one extensible element may include at least one sensor located on the at least one extensible element. The at least one extension element may also include an excitation source for energizing the formation. The at least one extensible member can be configured to be separated and / or attached to the BHA from the bottomhole assembly (BHA). A method may include steps to perform a test of the formation in order to estimate the parameters of interest of the formation.
