自助银行密码式即时消息加密方法，其特征在于，包括下列步骤：步骤Ａ）发送方在客户端输入聊天密码，此密码需事先告知接收方，以保证加密解密过程顺利进行，如果不做更改，将以默认密码作为聊天密码。步骤Ｂ）客户端得到发送方输入的聊天密码，运行加密算法，将加密程序输出的密文作为内容向服务器发送即时消息。步骤Ｃ）服务器收到消息后，向客户端响应，并判断即时消息接收方是否在线，如果接收方用户在线，将从发送方接收到的内容直接发送给接收方；如果接收方用户不在线，将接收的发送方消息临时存储在服务器端，在用户登录上线的时候，先行判断是否在服务器存有临时消息，如果存在临时消息，将临时存储的消息取出并发送给接收方。步骤Ｄ）接收方在客户端输入同样的聊天密码，接收方接收到即时消息后，将调用解密程序通过聊天密码解密后进行处理显示给用户。若聊天密码与密文不一致，是不能解密的。此时将尝试默认密码解密，如解密成功处理后显示给用户。若均不能解密，并将提示显示给用户。
