本发明专利技术实施例提供了一种通信方法、基站和终端设备，该方法包括：基站通过n组端口向终端设备发送信号，n组端口中的每组端口包括至少两个端口，n为大于或等于2的正整数；基站接收终端设备发送的s组第一线性组合系数，其中，每组第一线性组合系数为s组端口中的一组端口的第一线性组合系数，至少一组第一线性组合系数中包括至少两个非零系数，s组第一线性组合系数用于确定第一预编码矩阵，s组端口包含于n组端口，s为小于或等于n的正整数，s为大于或等于2的正整数。本发明专利技术实施例中，通过向基站发送s组第一线性组合系数，能够提高终端设备的信道反馈精度，进而有利于提高基站与终端设备之间的传输性能。
