A Material for Manufacturing Dies

The present invention discloses a kind of material for manufacturing die. The composition and weight percentage of the material are: Pb60 65%, Al6 9%, Ba10 13%, and the rest are Mg. The materials prepared by the invention are new compound hard matrix composites produced by in-situ reaction method. They are mainly intermetallic compounds. Because of the strong bonding characteristics of intermetallic compounds, dislocations are difficult to move and the strength of materials is greatly enhanced. With the addition of Ba and Mg, the uniform distribution of the alloy structure was obtained by utilizing the mutual solubility between Ba and Pb and the strong bonded intermetallic compounds, which enhanced the strength and hardness of the alloy. Its strength and hardness index are 228 MPa and 156 HB, respectively. The service life of the die is prolonged, and their applications in low melting point alloy die manufacturing, low melting point alloy axle lining, bearing material production and other fields are widened. The application scope of the rapid tooling technology is accelerated to provide a more reliable technical guarantee.
