The irreversible electroporation device (1, 2) comprises a pulse forming device (10) configured to generate bipolar pulses and an electrode (20) configured to receive bipolar pulses from the pulse forming device (10) and is suitable for applying bipolar pulses to biological tissues. Among them, the pulse width of bipolar pulses and the electric field intensity generated in biological tissues are set to be sufficient to produce irreversible electrical perforation on the cell membrane of biological tissues. The bipolar pulse can effectively increase the uniformity of ablation electric field, and the pulse width and the electric field intensity generated by the bipolar pulse are enough to produce irreversible electrical perforation on the cell membrane of biological tissue, thus reducing the ablation blind area.
