The embodiment of the present invention discloses a device for acquiring SAS card log and its design and use method. The device includes a controller for reading the log information in SAS card and controlling the reading and writing of the log information; a memory for storing log information in SAS card; and a communication interface for connecting external devices and realizing communication with external devices. The invention integrates MCU and flash chip, simulates the control process of the upper computer, obtains the log information in the SAS card in real time and saves it, thus avoiding the use cost of the upper computer. The device is compact and portable, and can get a lot of log information of SAS card. It realizes long-term storage of SAS card log information and facilitates troubleshooting.
