粉末冶金，作为新兴的零件加工方式，已经渐渐渗入到我们生产生活的方方面面，粉末冶金产品基本上不需要或很少需要进行机械加工如切削等，故能大大节约材料及加工费用，降低产品生产成本，在大批量生产过程中，优势尤其明显。在现今的粉末冶金模具安装过程中，工人通过自下而上、自内而外的方向对模具进行固定安装，现今的垫板结构中，垫板1为一体式结构，在垫板上开设有适于中心芯棒和工艺芯棒安装的通孔2(如图1所述)，在对工艺芯棒锁紧固定过程中，工艺芯棒与中心芯棒依靠螺纹连接到机台上，工艺芯棒的位置会因为每次安装旋转的角度不同而改变，工艺芯棒会出现绕中心芯棒转动，因此在转动的过程中带动套接在中心芯棒和工艺芯棒上的垫板同时转动，因此会造成垫板上的上连接孔和机台上的下连接孔不对应，造成固定安装困难，因此只能在安装时对工艺芯棒初步固定，但不锁紧，使工人能够转动垫板将上连接孔和下连接孔对准后，再将垫板锁死，而芯棒在整个生产过程中均处于没锁紧状态，随着生产的往复运动，芯棒容易被拉脱导致产品质量异常甚至模具破损。
