The invention discloses a method for in vitro propagation of red ginseng. First, callus induction is carried out. After inoculating the explants of red ginseng after disinfection and sterilization into MS basic culture medium A, callus appears. Callus cutting is transferred to MS basic culture medium B for culture. Callus continuously proliferates, and the surface differentiates into cluster buds, and cluster bud cutting is transferred to MS basic culture. In medium C, cluster buds were added to MS basic medium B and MS basic medium C in turn according to 40 days'growth cycle, as the way of differentiation and proliferation of cluster buds of Red Ginseng, which were subcultured repeatedly for 3-4 generations, and seedlings were obtained. The strong main seedlings of 3_4 cm in height were inoculated in MS basic medium D to obtain strong rooting seedlings; the rooting seedlings were transplanted at room temperature. After 30 days of growth, rooting and transplanting seedlings were obtained. The method has the advantages of low cost, short propagation period, high quality and survival rate.
