The invention discloses a five level topological unit and a five level inverter. The five level topology cell circuit comprises an inverter module and a suspension capacitor (CS), the inverter module can provide five level modes. The five level topology cell circuit and the five level inverter can output the same AC current as the full bridge inverter under the same working condition without setting an additional boost circuit.
