The mapping mode between the control channel unit CCE in the resource set and the resource unit group REG in the first control resource set. The REG in the first control resource set occupies a symbol in time domain and a resource block RB in frequency domain. The communication method of the embodiment of the present application determines the mapping mode between CCE and REG based on the larger granularity of REG than defined in the prior art, which is beneficial to reducing the time delay in determining the mapping relationship between CE and REG for PDCCH transmission.
