A coherent light receiving device, including: coherent receiver, receiving optical signal and local light mixing, and implementation of optical coherent detection to output digital signal; wavelength dispersion compensation device, the compensation signal in digital waveform distortion, and outputs the digital signal after compensation; and the frequency difference detection device detects the between the received optical signal and local optical frequency difference, and to the wavelength dispersion compensation device notifies the frequency difference. The wavelength dispersion compensation device performs compensation using a transfer function based on the frequency difference that is notified from the frequency difference detection device and indicates the waveform distortion caused by wavelength dispersion.
