The present invention relates to digital modulators and digital to analog conversion techniques associated with them. Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to transmitters. The transmitter includes a digital modulator adapted to provide digitally modulated RF signals based on a multi bit representation of the data and a multi bit representation of the carrier. Digital to analog converter (DAC) is adapted to generate analog modulated RF signals based on digitally modulated RF signals. The resonant circuit is coupled to the output of the DAC and is adapted to filter out the desired frequency component from the analog modulated RF signal.
