A user selection method for a multi-user MIMO communication system based on codebook, eNodeB groups and selects the scheduling users according to the user feedback PMI and CQI in the cell. The grouping of dispatching users is based on the quasi orthogonality between the codebook vectors represented by PMI. When the system is running, eNodeB defines a channel region of each user according to the UE PMI membership feedback, and according to the UE reported in CQI channel partition and choose a CQI maximum user as the optimal users in the region, and then calculate the joint spectrum efficiency of each pair of quasi orthogonal user group according to the pre established relationship between the size of the final the user selects a set of maximum joint spectrum efficiency as the matching user group. The invention can greatly simplify the computation complexity of the user selection of a multi-user MIMO system, and can achieve near optimal throughput performance.
