透明石英玻璃在工业上有广泛的用途,主要有以下四种主要类型和制备方法I类以天然水晶或石英砂为原料,用电热法熔制的透明石英玻璃。熔制的气氛有惰性气氛、氢气气氛,也可以是真空。在真空或惰性气氛下熔制的石英玻璃中羟基(-OH)含量低于5ppm(ppm=1×10-4%);在氢气气氛下熔制的石英玻璃中羟基含量可达到150ppm。此类石英玻璃的杂质含量高,Al含量为30~100ppm,碱金属含量5~10ppm。主要应用于电光源,也应用于冶金、化工、半导体等行业。II类天然水晶原料在氢-氧火焰中熔制成的透明石英玻璃。此类石英玻璃中羟基含量达到180~250ppm。金属杂质含量低,Al含量少于20ppm,碱金属含量低于5ppm,软化温度较I类石英玻璃低50℃。主要用于半导体,光源行业,也用于化工、冶金等行业。III类四氯化硅气体原料在氢-氧火焰中水解、熔制成石英玻璃。此类石英玻璃的金属杂质含量低于1ppm,但羟基含量超过1000ppm,而且含100ppm以上的Cl。III类石英玻璃的软化点比前两类石英玻璃低50~100℃,但杂质含量低,光学均匀性好,透紫外,耐射线辐照,适用于光学材料。IV类以四氯化硅气体为原料用高频等离子体作为热源合成石英玻璃,该类石英玻璃中杂质含量低于1ppm,羟基含量低于5ppm,Cl含量200ppm,有较好的光学均匀性,透过光的波长范围宽(0.18~3.5μm),适用于高质量石英摆片和特种光学材料,如空间技术用激光反射棱镜和光导纤维。但 ...
