It has a plurality of unit magnetic sensors (10) arranged in the X direction, each of which comprises: a sensor chip (30), which has a component forming surface forming a magnetic detection element; and a magnetic body (40), which is arranged on the component forming surface and concentrates the magnetic flux on the magnetic detection element. The length in the X direction of the magnetic body (40) is longer than that in the X direction of the sensor chip (30). According to the invention, because of the structure of having a plurality of unit magnetic sensors (10) arranged with a magnetic body (40) longer than the sensor chip (30), the size of the sensor chip (30) can be miniaturized. As a result, more sensor chips (30) can be made from one assembly substrate, which makes it possible to reduce the cost of components significantly.
