A Method and Device for Automatic Gain Control

The invention discloses an automatic gain control method and device, which includes: receiving analog signal and first control voltage, gaining analog signal according to the first control voltage, converting analog signal after gain to digital signal, separating N subcarrier signals from digital signals, N being positive integer, and measuring N subcarrier signals in the first period. The first power is obtained by the sum of average power; the second power is obtained by the power of each sampling point in the second period of the digital signal; and the second control voltage is generated by the first power and the first threshold as well as the second power and the second threshold, in which the second control voltage is used to control the gain of the analog signal. The embodiment of the present invention can accurately obtain the average power of N subcarrier signals, improve the power stability of each subcarrier signal received in the digital receiver and facilitate demodulation.
