The invention discloses a double-layer ecosystem for wastewater treatment in cold and arid areas, which mainly includes vegetation restoration layer above the frozen soil layer, subsurface layer below the frozen soil layer and impervious layer; subsurface layer includes front-end stone cage part and multi-media filling layer, water distribution wells and water collection wells on both sides, water distribution wells are equipped with aeration system and single-side water distribution flower wall and filter wall, and water collection pipes are obtained by bores. The water collecting branch pipe and the water collecting main pipe are composed of an emptying valve at the bottom of the water collecting main pipe and an internal circulation pump in the water collecting well. The upper vegetation restoration layer uses water conservation, salt and fluorine tolerant and cold tolerant plants pretreated by water distribution wells to improve soil quality and restore vegetation; there are gaps between the upper and lower layers, so that the water infiltrated by the upper plants after irrigation enters the lower subsurface flow wetland, further purifying water and avoiding water loss; the lower layer wetland is located below the permafrost layer where the ecosystem is located, and wastewater passes through under gravity. After being purified by vertical flow at the front end of the cage layer, the water flow in the middle section drives forward by the horizontal undercurrent extending the infiltration curve, and finally enters the water collection well through the receiving pipe at the bottom of the bed layer. The operating temperature of the underflow layer in winter keeps between 8 and 15 degrees Celsius, which solves the freezing problem in cold areas.
