压板轴承的一大难题就是压板和轴承外圈的连接配合问题，这个方面国内相关技术工艺尚未成熟，国外主要的手段是焊接和铆接。焊接的主要缺点是轴承钢材料难以焊接，焊接产生的高温容易使轴承产生局部变形，工艺难度大。铆接一般是采用对压板内孔上三到四个点进行铆压变形，使变形后的压板和轴承外圈卡槽进行卡配，缺点是压板内孔挤压变形的量不易控制，容易过紧或过松。目前国内也通过卡环来卡配压板和轴承，这种方式在压板和轴承之间增加了一个特殊的卡环零件，并且需要在轴承外圈加工出一个卡环定位弯边，增加了工艺复杂性。
