The invention discloses a method for extracting and purifying glycyrrhizic acid by using the dual water phase distribution technique, including: 1) the liquorice and distilled water are put into the heating reflux device, heated to boiling, and refluxing for 2 hours, then the liquid is filtered after reflux and centrifuged to separate the supernatant, and the supernatant is concentrated to 1/3 of the volume of the filtrate. The liquorice concentrated solution was obtained; 2) the two aqueous extracts composed of K2HPO4, EO60PO40 and distilled water were added into the centrifuge, and the liquorice concentrated solution was added to be mixed, and the upper and lower phases were centrifuged at the speed of 3000 6000r/min. The upper phase was heated by 0.5 2h in the constant temperature water bath of 45 and 60 C, and the lower phase was separated and the glycyrrhizic acid was obtained. Among them, the aqueous two-phase extraction is composed of 18 26wt% K2HPO4, EO60PO40 of 40wt% and the remainder of distilled water. The mass ratio of the liquorice concentrate to the aqueous two-phase extraction is (3, 5): (5, 7). The method is mild and can protect the biological activity of glycyrrhizic acid as much as possible.
