This paper discloses a positioning method and device, wherein the method is applied to the mobile device, the method includes periodically detecting the mobile device, the mobile device including driving state and walking state; to detect the number of consecutive driving state is up to M, using the first location algorithm for positioning for mobile devices, the M is an integer greater than one; detected consecutive number of walking state reached N, the mobile device positioning using second localization algorithms, the N is an integer greater than one. It can be seen that by implementing the technology scheme, we can more accurately determine the state of mobile devices, and locate the mobile devices with the location algorithm that matches the real state of mobile devices, thus improving the accuracy of location results.
