为了保证电缆的绝缘性,电缆用于导电的缆芯外一般包裹有一层由聚乙烯、聚烯烃类结晶聚合物等材料组层的绝缘层。将绝缘层包裹到缆芯上的生产过程为:将电缆的缆芯被放置在放线盘上,在牵引机的牵引下,在挤出机的模口处,以200℃的高温将绝缘材料熔融后,再将融化的绝缘材料随缆芯一起从挤出机的模口挤出,绝缘材料即可紧紧地包裹在缆芯上,熔融的绝缘材料冷却固化后,将牢牢地附着在缆芯外。但在电缆的使用过程中,为了将电缆之间进行连接或者将电缆连接到用电设备上,需要使用切削装置对电缆的绝缘层进行切削处理。现有技术中,电缆的切削通常人工使用剪刀将两端的绝缘层去掉,对于一些直径较大的电缆,绝缘层较厚,强度较大,使用剪刀进行切削比较急费力,并且容易切到缆芯,对缆芯容易造成损伤。
