一种资源配置方法及装置，用以解决现有技术中资源分配模式比较单一，灵活性差，且不具有弹性应对突发额外资源需求的能力的问题。在该方法中，资源配置设备可以获取针对一个资源组的资源增量，并将所述资源增量的资源预留或分配给所述资源组，从而所述资源配置设备可以灵活地对所述资源组进行资源分配，当所述资源组需要扩容，但扩容的目标资源申请量超过所述资源配置设备维护的所述资源组的资源限额时，所述资源配置设备可以分配给所述资源组的足够的资源，因此，该资源分配方法具有弹性应对突发额外资源需求的能力。
