随着社会经济的发展、城市化进程和人民生活水平提高,日常生活中产生的垃圾废物日益增多。生活垃圾占用土地,污染环境,对人民健康生活的影响日益突出。面对垃圾泛滥成灾的状况,世界各国已不仅限于控制和销毁垃圾这种被动“防守”,而是积极采取有力措施,科学合理地综合处置、利用垃圾。近年,利用焚烧垃圾产生的热量进行发电成为各国盛行的垃圾处置方式。垃圾中的二次能源如有机可燃物等所含的热值高,焚烧3~4吨垃圾产生的热量大约相当于1吨标准煤。中国是世界上的垃圾资源大国,如果中国能将垃圾充分有效地用于发电,每年将节省煤炭4千万吨,其“资源效益”极为可观。垃圾焚烧技术在世界上已有几十年的历史,技术已趋成熟,目前大部分的垃圾焚烧锅炉,参数普遍定为中温中压,即过热蒸汽压力4MPa,蒸汽温度400℃。这个参数的电厂效率是偏低的,个别电厂从节能减排的角度出发,将主蒸汽参数提高到6.5MPa,450℃。在降低能耗,发展清洁能源的大环境下,越来越不能满足节能减排的需求,研发高效垃圾焚烧发电系统成为技术发展的必然趋势。
