Methods and devices for transmitting and receiving control signals in communication systems

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose methods, devices and computer program products for transmitting and receiving control signals. A method can be implemented at an access node, which operates on the first carrier. The method includes: determining the first resource for transmitting the first control signal in the first carrier, the bandwidth of the first resource is less than the total bandwidth of the first carrier, and transmitting the first control to the device through the first resource. The first control signal includes at least one of paging control information and system configuration information used by the device after access. The method and device according to the embodiment of the present disclosure can enhance the control channel and improve the performance of the control signal of the device.
